Cathedral Pews Re-purposed

Cathedral Pew Oak
On November 16, 2015 The Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Grand Rapids, Michigan,
started the process of installing new pews.
At six am a crew began removing the old pews and people who had purchased them were allowed to pick them up.
I purchased three to re-purpose.
Part of that effort is in the wood turned items now available at Vinecroft Studios.
Christmas ornaments, bottle stoppers, and earrings are available.
(It is interesting to note that so far I have found at least two species of oak used in the pews.
Since they were stained I guess the difference in color didn’t matter.)
If you purchase Cathedral Pew item(s), you can enjoy them knowing
that the beautiful end pieces have been kept intact as they are just too wonderful to destroy.
